Tom Oldham – set and costume design

I am a freelance set and costume designer, based in Berlin and London.

I originally trained as an opera/choral singer and worked as a singer and musician before making a decision to retrain in design. I gained a place on the prestigious Motley Theatre Design Course where I studied with designers Alison Chitty and Ashley Martin Davis.

Recent design work includes set and costume for Shakespeare’s ‘Henry V’ at Guildhall School of Music and Drama, costume designs for the children’s opera ‘Brundibar’ in Aldeburgh and at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Southbank Centre.

I also work with the design collective Curious Space with whom I am worked on designs for an exhibition at the Musée d’Ethnographie, Neuchatel.

I have worked as a design assistant to a number of designers, including Robert Jones, Tom Rogers and Patrick Burnier.
